1. Purpose of Processing Personal Information

File Kiwi processes personal information for the following purposes and does not use it for any other purpose:

  • Confirmation of customer intent to register
  • Identification and authentication for service provision
  • Maintenance and management of membership
  • Payment processing for service provision
  • Supply and delivery of services
  • Service usage statistics and traffic source analysis

2. Processing and Retention Period

File Kiwi processes and retains personal information within the period agreed upon or required by applicable laws.

Specific retention periods:

  • Customer registration and management: Until termination of service agreement or membership
  • E-commerce contracts, withdrawal, payment, and supply records: 5 years

3. Third-Party Provision

Personal information is provided to third parties only in cases falling under Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act, such as consent or special provisions of law.

4. Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects

Users may exercise the following rights:

  1. Request to access personal information
  2. Request to correct errors
  3. Request to delete
  4. Request to cease processing

5. Categories of Personal Information Processed

Information collected for smooth service provision:

  • Mandatory: Service usage records, access logs, cookies, IP address, user identifier (UID), referrer, first access time, device information, country information
  • Optional: Payment records (upon payment), email/password/visit history (upon registration)

6. Delegation of Personal Information Processing

Google(Firebase) and Cloudflare are entrusted with service infrastructure operation. Dodo Payments is entrusted with payment processing.

7. Destruction of Personal Information

Procedure

User information is transferred to a separate database after its purpose is fulfilled, stored for a period in accordance with internal policies and applicable laws, and then destroyed. It is not used for any other purpose except as required by law.

Timeline

  • Upon expiration of retention period: Within 5 days from the end date
  • Upon fulfillment of processing purpose: Within 5 days from the date deemed unnecessary

8. Installation, Operation, and Rejection of Automatic Data Collection Devices

Cookies:

  • Cookies are used to provide personalized services
  • Purpose: Understanding visit and usage patterns, popular searches, and secure access
  • Rejection: Can be configured via browser Tools > Internet Options > Privacy menu

Note: Rejecting cookies may cause difficulties in using personalized services.

9. Privacy Protection Officer

File Kiwi responds to and processes all inquiries, complaints, and remedies related to personal information protection without delay.

10. Changes to Privacy Policy

This policy is effective from the date of implementation, and any changes will be announced through notices at least 7 days before the effective date.
